Getting Ventrilo Guide

Hopefully you've already registered and built a company. If not check out the Getting Started wiki.

Ventrilo is an important program to have for OMG. It allows to speak and listen to others voice in game, coordinate your in game efforts, and it increases your interaction with the community.

First go to the OMG front page. Here you'll see all the important things related to OMG like the Forums and Wiki. Notice the OMG menu. In it there is the War CP and the Ventrilo links.

Click on the "Get Ventrilo" link if you don't already have the program. This will take you to the place where you need to download it. Click on the appropriate link to down load your version of Ventrilo. This will vary depending on your operating system. The one you're looking for is under client programs. The others are for Ventrilo servers which what you'll be joining, not building.

It will download to your desktop. When it is done downloading, install it. When you're done with this go back to the OMG front page. Right below the "Get Ventrilo" link is the link you'll need to join OMG's ventrilo server called "Click to Join Vent".

If you wish to do it manually the information is available here. Just create a user name, enter the server information, and you're good to go.
