Tank Buster Heavy Infantry are Panzergrenadiers with heavy anti tank weapons formed into a dedicated tank hunting team.
History
The threat of enemy armor struck fear into the hearts of fighting men. To deal with this threat one of the solutions devised was dedicated tank hunter teams. They generally were about a squad size and formed at the small unit level. Initially these were armed with anti tank rifles. As portable anti tank weapons became more powerful they had everything from grenades to mines and rocket launchers. Ideally they would aim to ambush enemy armor in front of the main lines slowing their advance or set out before an attack to search and destroy enemy tanks.
Tactics & Tips
- These are good deterrent to enemy armor attacks. As a result, they can protect your forces from enemy tanks without even having to fire their Panzershreck.
