This halftrack is a command variant of the German SdKfz 250, equipped with radio equipment and "bedstead" aerial frame; used in World War Two.
History
They were primarily used by the headquarters of reconnaissance forces, and as Forward Air Controllers by the Luftwaffe. The large "bed frame" antenna was a distinctive trait of this vehicle.
Tactics & Tips
- Do note, they usually don't last long against enemy fire due to their light armor.
- 'Vampire' half tracks have great spotting range, and can quickly spot a sniper.
- 'Vampire' half tracks have the ability remotely detect enemy units at long range.
- The Funkwagon 'Vampire' half track is best used where it will be unnoticed.
