Map Description
The Axis stronghold of Le Havre is a vital port on the Atlantic, and must be taken to secure supply routes further into Europe. The city has been turned to rubble by both bombers in the air and artillery on the ground. A quick assault is necessary to take the vital industrial sections of the city. An earlier commando assault on the city was pushed back by fierce resistance, and it appears a large axis force is moving to relieve the defenders. These pockets of axis defenders are well fortified and supplied, expect heavy losses in the dense streets.
Creator's Comments
Le Havre will be an urban/industrial map with narrow streets and more open industrial centers. Controlling the main road through the center of town will allow easy access to both the left and right flanks. Though buildings are abundant, most have been heavily damaged by prior bombing.
