This OMG:Wiki section is to help you, the reader, get involved with and use the OMG:Wiki.

This guide assumes you've just discovered OMG:Wiki, have never used it or edited Wiki pages before, and have no idea where to begin.

The Main Page

You can't edit this page, but the start is always a good place to begin. A quick look around will show you almost everything you'll need.

In red you can see the tabs, and they're much like a filing system. Your tabs will vary based on your user group and rights. Here you can see the edit tab, for editing pages, and the page's history. In lime green you can see your account links. You don't need to register, but doing so will allow you to edit semi-protected pages, and give administrators a better idea of who is contributing. In orange you can see the toolbox. This contains important links for uploading media and special pages, which contain OMG:Wiki statistics other helpful information. Finally, in purple you see your Navigation bar which can take you back to the OMG front page, forums, and show you recent changes on OMG:Wiki.

Finding & Making Pages

All you need to do to find a page is type in its name in the search bar. But what do you do if it doesn't exist? Simply type into the search bar the name of the article you're looking for and you'll see this:

Notice how the text in the lime green box correlates with the text in the red box. If there is a similar name to the article you're looking for you can make a redirection page, or if there isn't you can make a new page. Either way you need to click on the text in the lime green box. This takes you to the edit page for the article you want to make. Here you can enter the content for your new page, or check enter the redirection text.
