Media
This OMG:Wiki section is to help you, the reader, manage and use media like pictures on the OMG:Wiki.
This guide assumes you've just discovered OMG:Wiki, don't know how upload and use files in a wiki format, and have no idea where to begin.
Uploading
In order to add pictured on the OMG: Wiki you need to follow a couple of steps. First, you need to have the desired picture on your hard drive. It can not be directly added to the OMG:Wiki from a file hosting site like Photobucket. To save a picture to your hard drive just right click on it and click Save Image As. You can then save it under a desired name and location on your computer. Once you have the desired image you can use the Upload File page to upload your picture to the OMG:Wiki. After it uploads successfully you should see the image page your file was uploaded too. Congratulations you have just uploaded your first picture to the wiki.
Placing
To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following forms:
- [[Image:File.jpg]] to use the full version of the file
- [[Image:File.png|200px|thumb|left|alt text]] to use a 200 pixel wide rendition in a box in the left margin with 'alt text' as description
