Dutch Riverside
From OMGWiki
This map was created by Warbirds. It was designed for exclusivity with the OMG modification for Company of Heroes. It was specifically intended for the dynamic campaign aspect of the mod, but has been proven wildly successful in standard OMG game play. This map is the first exclusive map for the O:MG mod.
This six player map is still in beta.

Creator's Comments
This map took approximately 2 months of on and off work. The design concept was brought up to me first by CatInHat, one of the other developers in OMG. At first I was hesitant about the concept, but I quickly took up this project. After the first release, I had to wait, essentially, until the first internal Alpha was released. Preliminary testing showed the map was fun to play, but until MCP was implemented into the builds, there was no way to accurately determine how good the map actually was. Soon after MCP was implemented, the map was indeed proven successful, with many people liking it shortly after playing. The first shoutcast for OMG was even recorded on the map. I might add that this map is being virtually added onto with Dutch Countryside.

Tactics & Tips
- You can cross the river along its entire length.
- The river is a deathtrap. Be careful and cover your units if you need to cross it.
- If your enemy has the bridges locked down, try a flank along the extreme left (side with the farms) - If you don't get caught while crossing you can wreck havoc in the backfield causing your enemy to pull vital defenses away from the front lines to deal with you.
- Use a spotter! Hiding a sniper in the central river will give you valuable intel on the enemies movements and especially helpful in mortaring and counter-mortaring
- While the river is a deathtrap, the bridges aren't much better... Make sure you bring minesweepers to check the bridge as this is a popular area to mine up and can be devastating against your armor
